Introducing Our New Chief Nursing Officer

October 26, 2022

Temecula Valley Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Angie Camacho, MBA, MSN, RN, CCRN, as our new Chief Nursing Officer.

Camacho was a registered nurse for over two decades and transitioned into leadership roles when she saw their impact. “I learned how much value leadership brings to patients and employees," said Camacho. "I wanted to continue helping people, but this way it would be employees as well as patients. If they feel valued, heard and supported, it positively affects patients.”

Camacho most recently served as the Administrator and Chief Nursing Officer at Chino Valley Medical Center and San Dimas Community Hospital, where she was instrumental in maintaining the hospitals’ sequential Leapfrog A ratings, successful Joint Commission re-accreditation and attainment of initial Primary Stroke Center designation.

Now, she serves Temecula Valley, where she currently resides, and she is excited to be involved in a healthcare organization that impacts her family and community. “This was a different sense of pride when you are serving your own community," she said. "Feels more like home. There’s a different sense of ownership, of pride.”

Camacho joined Temecula Valley Hospital in September and immediately noticed its unparalleled service. “I am very, very impressed at the collegiality and teamwork. Engagement is incredible. People really show up. You don’t see that everywhere.” She believes that this teamwork overall benefits the patients. “Staff, leadership, physicians, people at all levels interact with patients. People have a lot of pride working here and it’s evident in outcomes and patient experience.”

We welcome Angie Camacho to our Temecula Valley Hospital family and wish her much success in her new role!
